FROM THE BEGINNING
It’s been our mission to give humans the confidence to achieve their dreams and feel good while doing it!
However, it’s simply not enough to only empower those who are able to afford our products — we want to create a difference in everyone’s lives.
Curie was founded in San Francisco, which has one of the largest homeless populations in the U.S. After witnessing the struggles firsthand, our founder, Sarah, sought to help those striving for a better life. Soon enough she discovered Simply the Basics, a nonprofit hygiene bank that provides basic necessities — including toothpaste, shampoo, and, you guessed it, deodorant — to low-income communities so that they can improve their overall health and well-being.
Sarah started as a volunteer with Simply the Basics, curating wellness bags for her city’s homeless people. Curie now partners with Simply the Basics by donating one Deodorant Stick for every five sold on our website. Our dream is to one day have Curie be the staple deodorant in all hygiene kits.
We’re proud of our product’s ability to make individuals from all over feel empowered, self-assured, and healthy. When people are able to properly care for their bodies they have more success fighting illness, finding jobs, and fully rising above homelessness.
