That’s why we dedicate so much time to crafting signature scents at Curie. Along with listening to what our loyal customers (AKA you!) want to smell like, we have partnered with world-renowned fragrance experts, including Ann Gottlieb and Firmenich, to bring our scent dreams to life. 

Partnering with Firmenich: A Fragrance Powerhouse

Ever wonder where some of your favorite perfumes (or Curie scents 😉) are born? Chances are inside Firmenich, the world’s largest fragrance house. The company has been perfecting the art of fragrance making since 1895 and continues to enhance scent developments through innovation. In collaboration with their scientists, we’re able to create the most elevated signature scents. Truthfully, our scents would not be possible without their expertise or the nose of one very important woman…

The Expertise of Ann Gottlieb

Ann Gottlieb is one of the most iconic fragrance developers in the world. One of the scents she has created is probably sitting on your vanity right now (Marc Jacobs Daisy or Calvin Klein Obsession, anyone?!). She has crafted some of the most acclaimed perfumes from Dior to Estee Lauder — and she's also the nose behind Curie’s signature scents, including Coconut Nectar and Warm Vanilla. 

Sarah and Ann meet once a month to discuss new ideas for our next big scent (and you’re going to love what we have down the pipeline). During their brainstorming, they take into account what our customers want and then get to work playing around with specific notes to make the scent come alive. 

It takes about 10 to 20 iterations to land on the winning final result that appears in Curie products — perfection takes time, but it’s so worth it! With Ann guiding us with her incredible nose, we feel confident that you’ll adore every scent creation just as much as we do 💞.
