Shark Tank Chronicles Part 4: Life After The Tank

Shark Tank Chronicles Part 4: Life After The Tank
This is Part 4 of our 4-part Shark Tank Chronicles series.

WE HAD A DEAL! I was so excited, I was jumping out of my skin. After hugging Barbara and Mark, everyone said goodbye, and I walked back through the hallway. I was buzzing with excitement, and holding back tears. I couldn’t believe what had just happened.

I got to the end of the hallway, and the producer I had been working with for the past 6 months was there to greet me. She was beaming ear to ear. It was as if I was standing in front of a proud family member—I immediately started crying and hugged her.

They do this awkward interview right then and there to capture your immediate reaction. This is the only part of the experience I don’t remember clearly; I was so high on adrenaline, and by that point all I wanted to do was get back to my trailer, change out of my heels, and call my fiancee! After about 30 minutes, I was able to go back to my trailer. I immediately called Josh and told him the news. I still couldn’t believe I had just been on a FREAKING HIKE a few hours prior, and now I had a deal with Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran. I could barely sleep that night. I was just so happy and in awe of the whirlwind of events that day.

Now that I’ve had time to reflect on the experience, having Shark Tank happen in the chaotic way that it did was the best possible thing for me. I thrived under the pressure. Because I only had two hours notice, I didn’t have time to get nervous or in my head. From the minute I got that phone call, I was in fight or flight mode, and my brain felt like it was firing on all cylinders.

The biggest lessons I learned through the Shark Tank experience: Follow something you believe in, commit yourself fully, and don't compromise. Patience and perseverance pays off.

Our episode aired on March 11, 4 weeks ago. One of my friends hosted a watch party in Los Angeles with all my friends and family members and it was one of the best nights of my life. We received thousands of orders that night, and completely sold out of deodorant within 12 hours of our episode airing. We opened up pre-order last week, and the momentum has not stopped. We’ve received tens of thousands of emails, dm's and comments from viewers about how inspired they were from our episode. Reading all of your kind messages has made all the late nights my sister and I have spent working these past few weeks worth it.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the kind words and support you have given our team. Shark Tank was a life-changing experience, and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity.

I ordered on the shark tank night. I have loved the product! I have tried several all natural products before but could never sustain it because of itching. I guess the “detox” of going all natural caused my armpits to itch BAD! I have been using your product exclusively since my order arrived in March and I’ve already placed a pre-order. Thank you!

How much longer before the spray deodorant white tea (I think) is available?

I’m a 59 year old guy who decided a few years ago to only use natural deodorants. I’ve tried many of them, some big name ones and smaller boutique brands….at all price points. Curie is simply the best! The fragrance is very subtle and not flowery so even a guy can use any of them. I like White Tea as it smells like lemon lime (to me) this stuff is amazing!

I’ve used natural deodorants for the last eight years, and they never worked. Of course I ordered yours as soon as I watched shark tank. After pre-ordering three more sprays (so I don’t have to worry about supply chain issues) I told my wife I’ve never looked forward to putting on deodorant before. LOL! Congratulations! I love your story!
